services, health care and technology. Decades of recruiting experience combined with
our business acumen give us a distinct advantage when it comes to understanding
your business terminology and how positions fit into your organizational structure.
Identifying Qualified Candidates
Our process utilizes direct recruitment to ensure that we identify the most qualified candidates - those you will not find through customary sources. To develop a targeted search strategy for your assignment, we begin with a thorough understanding of the job, and how it fits into your organizational environment. We work to understand your style of management, your organization's culture, and the tangible and intangible aspects that define the personal and professional competencies and requirements of the open position.
We then initiate a recruiting plan, utilizing research on your industry and competition,
using our years of experience to access an unparalleled referral base which includes both candidates and business colleagues. We expand through these networks to identify only the most highly-qualified candidates for your position.
In order to assess potential candidates' experience, interest level and compatibility with the position, we conduct thorough in-person interviews. We target experience, but more importantly, we're evaluating the depth of knowledge and soft skill traits that set individuals apart. Our questions are tailored to not only evaluate their capabilities, but also how they think, act and communicate.
After our recommendations have been made, we work closely with you to narrow the field of final candidates for interview. Once you've focused on final candidates, we conduct comprehensive reference checks customized to address your areas of particular interest. We will continue to work with you through the closing process and final offer stage.
At your request, we can also provide criminal background screening, drug screening, credit reports, DMV driving records, Social Security verification, employment history and education verification with a candidate's permission.
A Personalized Approach
Our team approach to achieving your recruitment goals maximizes response time
and streamlines the process. While you will always have a partner dedicated to your
search, any one of our team members can provide updates and answer any questions
you might have.

Interview Tips
Making the most of your evaluation of candidates results from a well-planned evaluation process which begins with the interview. Here are some helpful ideas to assist with developing your candidate interview strategy.
-
Know who you are and know what you want.
One of the most important steps in the preliminary interviewing stage is to clearly
and concisely define your company culture and environment. The next step is to understand the responsibilities of the position for which you are recruiting, and how that position works/fits within the organization. Your interview will be framed around this information. An example might be that you need a statistics -oriented individual who will handle analytical reporting, so experience would more than likely be numbers-driven and require a high proficiency in computer skills. Additionally, this person may need to interact with management and on occasion make presentations. Your questions would then be framed around uncovering the qualities and characteristics consistent with those skill sets.
-
Prepare for the interview.
Clearly define your purpose for the interview ahead of time. Familiarize yourself with the candidate's resume, and make notes where you might want to probe for more details and clarification. Prepare a set of open-ended questions which align with the results you want to receive from the interview. Consider your role in the interview, and why are you there. Do you want to determine the personality fit of the individual, or are you to evaluate his skill set compatibility for the position? Sometimes it's both.
If there are multiple people meeting a candidate, plan what questions will be
asked by whom to gain the most information in the allotted time. Being consistent
with this process will enable you to have a standard evaluation across your field
of candidates. -
Respect your candidates.
Simply being inviting and helping the candidate feel at ease from the start will
more often lead to a successful meeting. Try to find some common ground - possibly
a shared alma mater, a mutual city association, something in common - but don't
let it veer off too far. Once you've found a connection, lead your discussion into
the interview. It's important to leave a favorable impression with the candidate, as your interview
is a mutual evaluation which will contribute to a successful candidate ultimately accepting an offer. Schedule your interviews to ensure you don't keep candidates waiting, and give them your complete attention by having no interruptions. -
Listen and make reminder notes.
It's most important to listen, absorb and respond to what the candidate is saying. Also take notes that will serve as reminders to expand upon once the interview is completed. Your prepared questions, short notes and checklist will help you recall and organize this information. Try to schedule no more than up to four interviews in
a day. This provides you with the optimum opportunity to remember distinguishing information about each candidate. -
Avoid first impression decisions.
One of the most common, and most unreliable, factors in a hiring decision is the first impression. While first impressions are certainly a part of the evaluation, they are not a good method of selection. When you meet with a candidate, acknowledge your initial reaction, and then go forward with the entire interview.
-
The interview.
The interview is an interactive, information-gathering opportunity for both parties. It's a meeting where both parties expect to learn something. Being upbeat and positive, even if you're discussing difficult issues, leaves the best impression. You can always work through details later with the chosen candidate(s) that you have targeted as a potential hire.
The early part of the interview is an opportunity to determine a candidate's professional qualifications. Use the resume as a guide to verify and qualify experience. Using open-ended questions is key to identifying the traits of the candidate, their thought processes and motivation. Be sure to avoid unfocused questions that allow for abstract answers.
