Benefits Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Benefits Manager to join our client’s team in South Houston. Responsibilities:

  • Design benefits programs for U.S. employees, including health, welfare, and retirement plans.
  • Manage all aspects of benefits programs such as open enrollment, relocation, commuter benefits, and more.
  • Administer benefits programs, handling processes, billing, deductions, and leave management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, including the Affordable Care Act and mandatory notices.
  • Analyze current benefit programs to align with industry norms and trends.
  • Monitor and manage benefit costs, budgets, and pricing.
  • Maintain data integrity, perform enrollment audits, and reconcile billing.
  • Provide clear communication to employees and management about benefit program features, plans, and options.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors, including insurance and pension brokers and consultants.
  • Lead and manage the benefits team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in benefits strategy and administration, including wellness and 401(k) programs.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a benefits leadership role with team management experience.
  • Proven experience in vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms; familiarity with Workday is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to health and welfare benefit plans and 401(k) retirement plans.
  • Certified Benefits Professional, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred.
