Bilingual HR Generalist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bilingual HR Generalist who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join our clients dynamic HR team in South Houston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations and possess exceptional communication skills in both languages. This role will primarily focus on providing HR support, administering employee benefit programs, maintaining employee records in UKG (HRIS) and fostering a positive work environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Support: Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers, including responding to inquiries, addressing employee relations issues, and assisting with policy interpretation and application.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries. Collaborate with payroll and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.
  • HR Data and Reporting: Utilize UKG to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, generate HR reports, and provide data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Conduct end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for various positions. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their requirements and ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding, including the creation and delivery of orientation materials, conducting new hire orientations, and ensuring a seamless integration into the organization.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Performance Management: Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, handling employee relations matters, investigating and resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and facilitate workshops to enhance employee skills and promote professional growth.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, including EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • HR Projects: Participate in HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion programs, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, with a focus on benefits administration and HRIS.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, specifically UKG is highly preferred
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
