Bilingual HR Generalist

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our client’s team in East Houston. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of HR experience, with a strong background in supporting a diverse workforce comprising both blue-collar and white-collar professionals. This role requires expertise in various HR functions including employee relations, labor law compliance, benefit administration, payroll processing, and recruitment. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable, and experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) system is a major plus. This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, addressing concerns and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and managers on employee relations issues.

Labor Law Compliance:

  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all HR practices.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with labor laws.
  • Benefit Administration:
  • Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and facilitate communication with employees regarding benefit options and changes.

Payroll Processing:

  • Oversee payroll processing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll administration.
  • Collaborate with finance department to resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain payroll records.

Recruitment:

  • Lead recruitment efforts for both blue-collar and white-collar positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, labor law compliance, benefit administration, payroll processing, and recruitment.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with UKG system (Ultimate Kronos Group) is a major plus.
