Compensation Manager – Fort Lauderdale, FL 

Manufacturing client in Fort Lauderdale, FL Seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to join their team! This position is responsible for the day-to-day management and the maintenance of the organizations compensation and incentive programs, and various HR systems to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and compensation strategy. Performs a variety of functions, including salary review, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, job description management, salary survey participation, job evaluations/audits and analysis, job classification and pay grade maintenance, and other related duties.

Work Model: 100% onsite (some flexibility)

Main accountabilities:

  • Lead research, analysis, development/design/revision, and implementation of comprehensive compensation structure and programs and maintenance of processes
  • Advise management on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation
  • Support compensation survey management process, from ensuring data integrity of submission through analysis and application of survey results
  • Perform cost modeling of merit budget and salary structure design and maintenance to ensure organization remains market competitive
  • Provide expertise and consultation on job leveling, evaluation, market pricing, internal equity, and competitive pay analysis
  • Monitors pay program effectiveness and recommends continuous improvement changes including both base pay and incentive rewards
  • Proactively support annual rewards process, including planning, testing, auditing, analyzing pay for performance recommendations, reviewing communications, facilitating training, and preparing executive summary pre and post reporting
  • Complete any salary survey requests in timely manner
  • Conduct annual job descriptions analysis; research and compare total rewards offerings to ensure recruiting and internal equity competitiveness
  • Responsible for leading the annual Workforce Planning effort with all department
  • Create reports and audits to support employee operations
  • Conduct quality assurance audits, troubleshoot, analyze, detect, identify and correct processing or technical problems and deficiencies
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure organization’s compliance
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partner with legal department as needed/required
  • Ensure compliance of all employment/labor laws
  • Maintains current and complete understanding of Federal and State employment laws such as (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, sexual harassment, and NLRA)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related field
  • Must have manufacturing experience
  • Must have North America region experience (US, Canada, and Mexico)
  • Approximately 7-10+ years of compensation experience
  • CCP preferred
  • SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Strong Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred
