Director of Supply Chain
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for all aspects of the division’s operations
- Work on engineering continuous improvement programs for manufacturing plants, Engineering and Quality
- Oversee and lead manufacturing, engineering and quality efforts including resource allocation and priorities as well as personnel management for the manufacturing, engineering and quality functions
- Work on go-to-market strategy, technical development, production and supply chain to insure the operations run reliably and according to Westlake company policy
- Lead manufacturing, engineering and quality efforts including resource allocation and priorities as well as work with teams on the manufacturing, engineering and quality functions
- Work with implementation and maintenance of manufacturing, engineering and quality methods for new or existing products and technologies.
- Partake in the development and planning
- Formulate manufacturing operations, engineering and quality processes and strategies
- Recommend necessary equipment to meet safety, quality and production demands
- Utilize and drive capability in understanding of lean manufacturing tools and principles to ensure the delivery of business objectives and a culture of continuous improvement; develop and implement Kaizen plans, communication plans, lean conversion and countermeasures for manufacturing and engineering division
- Develop and implement both short-term and long-term strategies that support the overall goals of the Corporation
- Provide appropriate feedback both up and down the organization on achievements/shortfalls to such plans
- Develop corrective action as required to insure compliance with overall strategies for both the unit and the parent company
- Be involved in developing and presenting the annual Business Plan; Capital Plan, and associated budgets for each department within the unit
- Work on preparing and presenting engineering projects requiring capital
- Monitor monthly achievement to plan; create action plans as required to insure compliance when deviations occur
- Ensure the deployment of manufacturing assets ties to the overall objectives of the business unit
- Drive all operations to minimize scrap totals, associate utilization, material usage, power consumption, and transportation expenses
- Support at all times the sales efforts to insure on time delivery of quality products
- Ensure the deployment of 6 Sigma, SPC, preventative maintenance, training and safety initiatives throughout the manufacturing platform of the unit
- Develop annual sales plans that support the annual business plan
- Develop and nurture relations with critical management members of our customer base. Support and participate in all industry initiatives.
- Monitor on a regular basis incoming order rates and margins and develop corrective action plans should deviations occur
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or relative experience
- 10 years of plant operational experience in industrial equipment
*Compensation up to $140k+ bonus
