HR Generalist- Dallas
Our Dallas client is seeking an HR Generalist to join their Human Resources department!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with employee recognition and satisfaction activities
- Enhance and execute new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure an effective, engaging, and informative introduction to the organization
- Facilitate and coordinate mandatory employee training within the LMS (Pryor/Skill Soft) and onsite training and safety initiatives when needed
- Collaborate with HR leaders to plan for, deploy, and ensure compliance with employee programs (performance management, promotions, annual reviews)
- Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions
- Aid in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
- Assists in administration of leave management (FMLA, paid sick, paid medical and any required COVID leaves)
- Communicate with Canadian and Mexican employees to maintain compliance with Canadian employment laws and assists in employee relations issues
- Support the HR Coordinator with unemployment and workers compensation management
- Stay current with changes in US, Canadian, and Mexican employment law and emerging trends, ensuring compliance with any legal or regulatory requirements
- Prepare reports, summaries, and audits
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Competencies (Key Skills and Abilities)
- Knowledge of ADA, EEO, FLSA, paid and unpaid leave laws
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as an independent contributor
- High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage projects while multitasking
- Customer Service driven
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Workday HCM experience
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in education and experience)
