HR Manager – Hybrid
Our client in Northwest Houston seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Manager to join their dynamic team and play a strategic role in supporting one of our production facilities. Job Description:
- Serve as a strategic partner for one of our production facilities, collaborating with the President and department leaders to address people challenges.
- Utilize analysis, best practices, and external information to develop and implement strategic solutions for recruitment, employee retention, organizational development, employee development, and change management.
- Lead all people processes for the territory, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with enterprise HR support staff to execute annual HR processes, such as employee engagement expectations and objective setting, performance management, compensation evaluations, and benefits enrollment.
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations of employee issues, mitigating risks and implementing action plans to address policy and process gaps.
- Develop tools and resources to enhance company leadership in areas such as expectation and objective setting, performance management, compensation, employee development, and employee engagement.
- Collaborate with operations and functional leadership to develop talent acquisition and sourcing strategies that align with annual talent planning efforts.
- Lead annual and ad-hoc people projects, defining project scope, establishing milestones, developing project teams, and ensuring timely completion.
- Work with HR leaders across the organization to develop and implement policies and procedures that improve compliance with local, state, and federal laws while enhancing organizational efficiency.
- Provide change management leadership during business changes and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the President and HR VP to develop and manage the annual budget for people-related expenses, ensuring optimal return on investment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Safety, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist/Manager, demonstrating cross-functional project leadership.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, or the oil and gas industry.
- Intermediate proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and conditional formatting.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Industrial Relations.
- Previous industry experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
