HR Manager
Our client, located in The Woodlands, is seeking and HR Manager who will oversee the Human Resources department, as well as be heavily involved in Benefits Administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the facilitator for management and employees. Communicating wants, needs, concerns, ideas, etc. in an effective and efficient way.
- Lead hiring processes: draft & post job descriptions, oversee and conduct interview process, and screen candidate
- Lead in key position recruitment: represent company in a professional manner and help to identify candidates that meet high technical and ethical standards
- Establish performance appraisal structure and provide guidance to supervisors and managers for employee performance
- Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and managers for employee promotions and disciplinary actions
Heavy Benefit Administration
- Oversee employee health plans, enrollments and renewals
- Advise on company benefit needs or evaluating benefit contract renewals
- Explain and provide information on employee benefits
- Review and evaluate benefits and retirement programs versus industry trends and develop plan design recommendations for leadership
- Manage annual open enrollment process, develop employee communications strategy, timelines, and coordinate technical resources
- Partner with insurance providers, benefits brokers, legal advisors, and technical resources to ensure our benefits and retirement programs are effectively managed and in compliance with federal regulations, including IRS, DOL compliance, ERISA law, ACA and other laws governing employee and retirement benefits
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to communicate our benefits and retirement programs
- Work with Finance/Payroll to ensure accurate program administration and support payroll contribution funding and validation
- Support annual 401k audit, including 5500 filing and discrimination testing
- Maintain employee records and paperwork
- Review procedures for employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
- Work with general counsel to cover all legal compliance for human resource federal and state requirements
- Update job requirements when needed and maintain a current organizational chart
- Answer employee questions and addressing employee concerns with the company
- Other responsibilities assigned by management.

Other Credentials and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of state and federal employment, wage and hour laws and regulations
- Well-developed computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational ability with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work on multiple projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively, both independently as well as a member of a team
